Getting to the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, Melbourne

If you are coming from outside the city, take a train to Flinders Street Station. From Flinders Street, you can get on the following trams: 3, 5, 8, 16, 64 or 67. Get off the tram at the Domain Road Interchange. Walk towards the Shrine of Remembrance and you will see the Observatory Buildings which are near the Herbarium.

Melbourne Visitor Shuttle

The Melbourne Visitor Shuttle stops at Melbourne Gardens. The shuttle completes a circuit around Melbourne and runs every 30 minutes from 9.30am – 4.30pm daily. For $5, you can hop on and hop off at any of the 15 stops including Stop 13, Melbourne Gardens/Shrine of Remembrance.

Street metered car parking for up to four hours is generally easy to find close to entry gates. Please note that parking conditions vary according to nearby events. The City of Melbourne enforces parking restrictions in the area. Disabled parking bays are marked on the Gardens Map.
